The Royal Crest Cooking School
The Royal Crest Cooking School runs out of The Crest Table's training kitchen and gives guests direct access to the techniques and produce relationships that drive one of Eagle Farm's most talked-about dining programmes. Classes are structured around Queensland's seasonal produce calendar, meaning every session is built on ingredients at their absolute peak - not whatever happens to be in stock. The school is designed for people who eat with genuine curiosity and want to leave Brisbane knowing how to recreate something specific, not just having watched a demonstration.
Weekly Seasonal Produce Masterclasses
Every class centres on a single Queensland produce category - Moreton Bay seafood one week, Lockyer Valley vegetables the next - taught at a pace that builds real technique rather than just recipe repetition.
Small Group Format - Maximum Eight Guests
Classes cap at eight participants, ensuring every guest works directly with the instructing chef rather than observing from a distance, with hands-on preparation time for every component of the dish.
Chef Marika Svensson Guest Sessions
Once monthly, Chef Svensson leads a masterclass personally - an opportunity to cook directly alongside the person responsible for The Crest Table's menu philosophy and learn the reasoning behind each decision.
Market-to-Table Morning Format
Select classes begin with a 6:30 a.m. visit to a local Brisbane produce market, where participants select their own ingredients with chef guidance before returning to the cooking school for the full session.
Printed Recipe Portfolio on Completion
Every participant leaves with a professionally printed recipe portfolio covering all dishes prepared in their session, formatted for home reproduction and annotated with sourcing notes for key Queensland ingredients.
Private Class Bookings for Groups
Corporate groups, celebration parties, and private gatherings of four to eight book the kitchen exclusively for a bespoke class designed around their preferences, dietary requirements, and preferred Queensland produce focus.
